The DS-160 you upload contains sensitive personal information such as passport number, itinerary, and employment and family details. Please be aware: this data is used only to generate your mock interview and analysis report; we do not sell any user data and do not use it for advertising; data storage and processing take place outside mainland China (see Section 4).
1. What information we collect
- Account information: your email address and an encrypted, stored password.
- DS-160 form data: the parsed fields from the PDF you upload or the content you fill in online (name, passport information, itinerary, employment, education, family, etc.). While signed in, the original file you upload is saved to your personal asset library for direct reuse next time; you may delete it from the library at any time.
- Supporting materials: files you actively present during the interview (such as an employment certificate or bank statement); we extract the key text points for the AI officer to reference. While signed in, the original file and extracted text are saved to your personal asset library and can be deleted at any time.
- Interview data: your voice is transcribed in real time during the interview; we keep the text transcript and the practice report, and do not keep the original audio recording.
- Payment information: payment is handled entirely by Stripe; we neither access nor store your bank card number or Alipay account, retaining only the order amount, currency, and payment status.
- Basic logs: access logs necessary for troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
2. How we use this information
- to generate the mock interview (the AI officer questions you based on your DS-160), consistency analysis, and the practice report;
- to maintain accounts and process orders and interview credits;
- to improve service quality and troubleshoot faults (we do not use your data to train third-party models);
- to respond to your customer-support requests.
3. Third-party processors
To provide the Service, your data is processed through the following third-party infrastructure (each limited to what is necessary for the Service):
- Convex (database and login authentication, United States): storage of accounts, DS-160 parsing results, interview transcripts, and reports;
- Alibaba Cloud Tongyi Qianwen (Qwen) (Singapore region): real-time speech recognition, AI officer dialogue, and speech synthesis during the interview;
- Stripe (payment processing, handling payment data under its own privacy policy);
- Cloudflare (voice-connection relay) and Alibaba Cloud (Malaysia, application server).
4. Where data is stored and cross-border transfers
Our servers are located in Malaysia, our database in the United States, and AI processing in Singapore. If you use the Service from mainland China, your personal information will be transferred to the overseas locations above for processing and storage; by using the Service you understand and consent to this cross-border transfer.
5. Retention and deletion
- For the duration of your account, we retain your data so that you can review past interviews and reports at any time and reuse materials in your asset library.
- Materials in the asset library (original files and parsed content) can be deleted by you on the site at any time; once deleted, the original file is removed from storage (completed interview records are not affected).
- You may email [email protected] at any time to request deletion of your account and all associated data (DS-160, transcripts, reports); we will complete deletion within 30 days, except for transaction records we are legally required to retain.
6. Security measures
Site-wide HTTPS/TLS encrypted transmission, encrypted password storage, and least-privilege access to keys and the database. No internet service can guarantee absolute security; if a data breach affecting you occurs, we will notify you promptly.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and the right to withdraw consent and stop using the Service. To exercise these rights, please contact
[email protected].
8. Minors
The Service is intended for visa applicants and is not directed at persons under 18. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected a minor’s information, we will delete it as soon as possible.
9. Policy updates
After this Policy is updated, we will mark the new effective date on this page, and material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
10. Language
This Policy is provided in Chinese and English. In case of any discrepancy, the Chinese version shall prevail.
